If you want to create a new contact in the CRM, here are the steps to follow.

CRM Contact Creation

You have two options:

  • Directly from LinkedIn, with one click and you’re done 🚀

  • Manually from the company record, that works too 💪🏻

CRM Contact Qualification

At a minimum

First:

  • Enter the Last Name and First Name

  • Qualify the contact state which allows you to indicate the relationship you have with this contact

    • New: no link established

    • Link established: first interactions have taken place

    • Engaged: an active relationship has developed

    • Do not contact: should no longer be solicited (explicit request or GDPR)

    • Exited: no longer part of the company

  • Indicate the contact type to identify key roles

    • Decision maker: responsible for purchase decisions

    • Influencer: influences decisions without final authority

    • Ambassador: actively supports your services within the company

    • Buyer: manages purchases and contracts

  • Enter the contact details (email and phone)

Go further

To enable you to perform advanced searches on your contacts, we strongly recommend qualifying the following sections on each CRM contact record:

  • the Technical scope which lets you freely qualify your contact’s technical environment. From the CRM module displayed per contact, the "Key words" search scans all words present in this section

  • the Activity areas allow you to associate application domains your contact is looking for. From the CRM module displayed per contact, the "Activity areas" filter lets you find all contacts searching for this criteria

  • the Flags: in addition to open key words and application domains, you can also use "Flags" to qualify the technical scope of your contacts/companies

Identification and management of your strategic contacts

To help you optimize your sales actions and maximize your chances of success:

Identify key contacts in your accounts

To do this, assign a type to each contact via the contact "Type" field to identify key roles.

Search efficiently

Quick search lets you efficiently select your contacts directly from the Contacts tab of the company record thanks to:

  1. search by key words which scans all words in the sections associated with each contact

  2. using filters, especially on the Type and State fields to focus your efforts on the right people

A contact must be linked to a company, so you must create a company first. If the company does not yet exist in the CRM, follow this online help: Create a new company in the CRM.

Is it possible to bulk assign an item to contact records?

Mass modification lets you quickly assign a main manager, a state, a type, an influencer or a flag to one or more contacts.
