The Hourly tracking module in Boond allows you to declare your actual working hours and break times each day for your managers.

This article is intended only for employees whose employer has activated hourly tracking.

All Boond offers are concerned.

Attention, this new feature will only be accessible starting October 1, 2026.

Until then, hourly tracking entry is still done within a timesheet via the Hourly tracking application.

Prerequisites

To use the Hourly tracking module, the following conditions must be met:

  • your employer has activated hourly tracking for your Agency

  • your contract in Boond is concerned by hourly tracking

  • you use Boond from a web browser: the module is not yet available on the Boond mobile app.

1 - Log in to your hourly tracking

To log in to your hourly tracking, two paths are possible:

  • From the dedicated module: click directly on the section "My hourly tracking"

  • From your user profile: click on your "First name Last name" at the top right of the screen, then click on "My hourly tracking"

You will then arrive at the list of your monthly hourly tracking.

2 - Configure your standard week

When using hourly tracking for the first time, you must configure your standard work week by defining your usual working hours.

The standard week allows you to pre-fill your hourly tracking: the Fill the whole month button applies your standard week hours to all remaining empty days of the month.

⚙️ Note

Your Boond administrator may have configured a default standard week. If the proposed hours do not match your situation, you can edit your standard week.

3 - Fill in your hours each day

To fill in your hours in the hourly tracking, open the hourly tracking for the current month, then complete each working day.

Enter your hours, breaks, and comments

  1. Indicate your start and end hours for each morning and afternoon
    e.g. 09:00 - 12:00 / 13:00 - 17:00

  2. Fill in your different break times of the day by indicating the start and end time of your breaks

  3. Add a comment if you wish to provide a clarification to your manager about a particular day

  4. Click Save at the top right to save your entry

🗓️ Note

You cannot pre-enter tracking for future days. The purpose of this element is to collect your actual working hours, only past days or the current date can therefore be completed.

Break time management

In Hourly tracking, break times are calculated in two different ways:

  • Lunch break is calculated automatically by Boond: it is the interval between the end of the morning and the start of the afternoon. It is deducted from your daily and weekly working time.

  • Breaks you manually enter are included in your daily and weekly working time

Example: you work from 09:00 to 12:00, then from 13:00 to 17:00, and you enter a break from 10:30 to 10:45.

  1. Morning: 09:00 - 12:00 = 3 hours.

  2. Afternoon: 13:00 - 17:00 = 4 hours.

  3. Lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00 = 1 hour, deducted: it is not counted in working time.

  4. Break entered from 10:30 to 10:45 = 15 minutes, included: it remains counted in working time.

  5. Working time for the day = 3 hours + 4 hours = 7 hours, including 15 minutes of break.

The total break time is displayed for information for each week of the month.

Absences and public holidays

In Hourly tracking, public holidays from your calendar are integrated automatically: you do not have to enter hours for a public holiday.

Likewise, absences you have created from the My absences module are also integrated into your Hourly tracking: you do not have to enter hours for an absence day.

🚨 Note

If your employer asks you to fill in your hourly tracking you must complete them monthly. Otherwise, you will be blocked from entering your activity via timesheets.

An automatic block is set up on your timesheets if the hourly tracking for the previous month has not been properly completed and validated by you.

4 - Submit your hourly tracking for validation

Once all your hours for the month are filled in:

  1. Make sure all your weeks are complete compared to your working days.

  2. Click the "Validate" button at the top right of the screen. Your hourly tracking will then follow the validation workflow provided for this purpose.

⚙️ Note

As with all your other items in Boond (time, expenses, absences), once your tracking is validated by the next validator, you can no longer edit your hours.
If you need to make a change, you will need to notify your manager so they can unvalidate your sheet.

🚨 Note

Hourly tracking is not yet available on the mobile app. For now, you must complete and validate your monthly hourly tracking from the browser version.

FAQ

My monthly tracking is completely empty, what should I do?

Your hourly tracking is displayed only if the module has been configured for your interface AND if your contract is covered by this feature.

Contact your manager so they can check:

  • your contract in Boond

  • the configuration of hourly tracking in the console Administration > Agencies Legal > your Agency > Activities & Expenses > Hourly tracking

An error message on my timesheet tells me my tracking is not completed, what should I do?

This error message appears on your timesheet when the hourly tracking for the previous month is not completed and validated.

If your employer asks you to fill in your hourly tracking, your timesheet entry is blocked until this tracking is finalized.

Open the hourly tracking for the previous month, fill in the missing days, then click Validate. The block on your timesheet will then disappear.

Can I fill in my hourly tracking from my Boond mobile app?

Unfortunately not, this module is currently not available on the mobile app.
You must therefore complete and validate your hourly tracking from your web browser.

I can't enter my hours for days after today, is this normal?

Yes, it is normal not to be able to enter your hours for days after today. Hourly tracking is used to collect your actual working hours: only past days and the current date can be completed.

I can't find my tracking in my timesheet anymore, what should I do?

This is normal, since October 1, 2026, absence tracking is now completely decoupled from timesheets.

Your tracking is accessible from the "My tracking" module

How do I edit an hourly tracking I've already validated?

To edit an hourly tracking you've already validated, ask your manager to unvalidate it. You can then correct your hours and validate your hourly tracking again.
