If you have accidentally created duplicate candidates, this feature is made for you.
It allows you to combine the data from one Candidate card into another with a single click.
⠀
What does merging involve?
This feature allows you to merge a Source Candidate card (card S) into a Destination Candidate card (card D) to consolidate the data into a single card.
The operation to merge candidate S into candidate D will specifically:
Keep the data from card D and add any missing data to it
Reassign contracts, positionings, actions, and discussion threads from candidate S to candidate D
Combine attachments from candidate S into candidate D (note, if the total number of resumes from cards S+D exceeds the current limit of 5 files, an error message will appear)
Delete candidate S without copying its remaining information (data present in the "Information" tab...)
Good to know
The contract from card S will only be reassigned to card D if there is no existing contract already present on card D: if a contract is already present on card D, then the contract from card D will remain and will not be replaced.
⠀
Prerequisites for merging a card
Have deletion rights on candidate cards
Have write and creation rights on all cards associated with candidate S (contracts, TD, actions, positionings, ... if any)
⠀
Initiate the merge of 2 candidates
⠀
Warning
The merge is irreversible
The data from the source card will be deleted
We recommend you read the section "What does merging involve" before you initiate it.
Video guidance to initiate a merge:
Step-by-step process to initiate a merge:
Open the source card
Click the "..." button at the top right of the card then "Merge"
Select the destination card > Alerts will display about the consequences
Check the required rights for merging
If rights OK ➡️ "rights check ok" is displayed ➡️ click confirm to start the merge
If rights KO ➡️ "Insufficient rights, the merge cannot be started" ➡️ The user can only cancel and must modify their rights or contact their administrator
A blue pop-up indicates the start of the merge, then a green one will appear once the merge is complete
You can then view the merged card by clicking "Open the merged card" on the green pop-up

FAQ
The button to initiate a merge does not appear
Make sure you have deletion rights on the source card.
The rights check returns an error, and you are prompted to contact an administrator
You must have read, write, and creation rights on all affected cards (especially candidate contracts, actions on candidate cards...). For example, if you want to merge a card containing a contract into another card, you must have the right to create contracts. You can find the cases in the section "prerequisites for merging a card".
