App Installation & Configuration
To install the app, you must have access rights to Administration, section Apps/Marketplace.
Administration > Apps/Marketplace > Marketplace tab > Equipment Loan

Rights Configuration
You can configure different elements for using this app, including:
Which equipment list the manager can see on the app
Whether the manager can read and/or edit equipment cards
Whether the manager can create and/or delete equipment cards
To do this, first go to:
Administration > Manager/Role > The relevant manager role
Finally, access specifically the settings of the Equipment Loan app by going through:
Apps tab > Equipment Loan > Cogwheel Configuration

Good to know
You will need to configure search rights for loans and returns, access to loan cards, and creation/deletion rights for these cards. To help you during this configuration, you can refer to the dedicated articles:
Dependency on the Resources module
Attention! Access to the various tracking cards also depends on rights to the "Main Data" group of the "Resources" module > "Card" tab, which must be at least readable.

Create and Populate a Loan Card
To create a tracking card, go to the Resource card of the relevant employee:
Resource Card > Equipment Loan tab > "+" Button
You can then fill out 4 different sections, which we will review together below.
Equipment Identification
Start by qualifying the "Equipment" section: here you can enter the equipment type, serial number, name, and internal reference (if applicable).
Also remember to update the state!
Equipment Availability
Once the equipment is provided to your employee, fill out the "Equipment Availability" section with the loan date and the state of the loaned equipment (new, good condition, etc.).
You can also add a comment (useful for entering the shipping tracking number, for example).
Equipment Warranty
This section allows you to record all information related to the equipment warranty: purchase date, reseller, warranty duration, etc.
Equipment Return
Following a departure or equipment malfunction, the "Equipment Return" section allows you to record that you have retrieved it and its state at the time of return.

View and Track Your Equipment via the App
The "Equipment Loan" tab in Resource cards lets you review employee by employee.
You can also view the entire list of your loaned equipment fleet on one page; to do so, go to your "Equipment Loan" app from:
Navigation button > Equipment Loan
You will arrive at the following screen, listing all your registered equipment:
As with any Boond module, you have the option to filter according to your needs: perimeter, state, period, etc.

You will also have the option to export your search results.

FAQ
Will I be alerted to retrieve equipment from a departing resource?
Our Equipment Loan app is currently not connected to notifications. You will not receive any alert on this subject.
Can I add a document as an attachment to my tracking card?
Of course! You can add an attachment after saving the loan for the first time!
Can I edit the dropdown menus available in the equipment loan cards?
These dropdown menus are not customizable. If you think of an important field, we invite you to submit an insight on our roadmap!
