This article details how to enter and track your employees' probation periods.

Enter a probation period
Resources > Resource card > Administrative tab > resource contract card
When a new resource joins your staff, you can enter a probation period.
To do this, simply go to the contract and click Add a probation period.
To limit errors in the end dates of the probation period, an entry assistance allows you to choose and apply:
the duration of the probation period,
the duration of the renewal.
Note
You will be alerted 30 days before the end of the probation periods.
To make the alert disappear, you have several options. If needed, we invite you to go to the relevant section.

Renew a probation period
By default, 30 days before the end of the probation period, you will be notified in your dashboard that a probation period is about to expire.
If the probation period PE1 is renewed, you just need to modify the state of the latter.
Note
In case of renewal, the alert on probation period PE1 will no longer be displayed and will apply to the date of probation period PE2.
Validate a probation period
Two scenarios can occur.
Validate probation period PE1
If you want to validate your employee before or at the end of their probation period PE1, you just need to modify the state of the PE to indicate Validated.
Note
The alerts associated with probation periods will be disabled.
Validate probation period PE2
If you have renewed probation period PE1 and wish to validate it, you just need to modify the state of the PE to indicate Renewal - Validated.
Note
When probation period PE2 is validated, the alert associated with this probation period will be disabled.
End a probation period
If you want to end the probation period, there are two scenarios:
End probation period PE1
If you want to end the first probation period, you must modify the state of the PE and indicate Terminated.
A pop-up allows you to indicate the end date of the contract and the associated reason.
If needed
If you want to add or modify the reasons for contract termination, you need to go to Administration > Global settings > HR Data tab.
End probation period PE2
If you want to end the second probation period, you must modify the state of the PE and indicate Renewed - Terminated.
A pop-up allows you to indicate the end date of the contract and the associated reason.

FAQ
If the consultant takes absences during their probation period, is the end date of the probation period changed?
No, this will not update the end date of the probation period. It must be managed manually.
Can I customize the duration of probation periods?
The default configuration is 4 months renewable.
If you want to change this, it must be done manually.
How can I delete a probation period?
To delete a probation period, you must delete the date entered in probation period 1.
I made a mistake on the contract start date, how can I reopen the entry assistance for probation periods?
To reopen the entry assistance, you must delete the first probation period.
