You can view the seniority of the employee and manually edit it if necessary.

Feature overview

You can instantly see the seniority duration and the entry date in the company for your employees in your staff from the Administrative tab of the resource cards.

Seniority calculation

By default, this date is the first day of the contract entered on the Resource card. If one or more amendments have been generated after this first contract, the seniority date will always be the date of the initial contract.

Note:

If you end a contract and then create a new contract that takes effect one day after the previous contract, the date used for seniority calculation will be the first day of the new contract.

How and when to force the seniority of your employees?

If you wish, you can "force" the selected date for seniority calculation and thus manually edit it by clicking on the seniority duration, then enabling manual entry.

In which cases might you need to force this entry date in the company?

If you are in one of the following situations, you may need to manually edit the seniority of your employee:

  • Change of contract type:
You decide to hire on a Permanent Contract a person who was previously a trainee in your staff. Their trainee contract starts on 01/01/2021 and ends on 08/31/2022; their Permanent Contract starts on 09/01/2022. In this case, the date used to calculate your employee's seniority will be September 1, 2022. But you want to include their trainee period and can therefore indicate the date 01/01/2021 to retain your employee's seniority.

  • Data migration:
When migrating your data to BoondManager, you want to import all your resources without necessarily keeping the full contract history of your employees. In this case, you can import only the latest amendment/contract for your resource into BoondManager, and force the date so that it matches the actual entry date in the company for the resource, not the start date of the amendment/contract.

Extraction

This seniority date can be extracted for all your employees from the search view of the Resource module, by clicking on the extraction icon.

If you don\'t see the extraction icon!

If you don\'t see the extraction button, it means you don\'t have extraction rights on the Resource module. To change this, your administrator must go to Administration > Managers / Roles > and add extraction permission to the Resource module in your rights.
