If you have resources working part-time and are wondering how to manage them efficiently in Boond, this article is for you.

At the HR contract level

In the HR contract of the relevant resource, you need to specify:

  • Their annual or monthly actual salary
And not the salary calculated for a full year

  • Their actual working time in the dropdown list

  • The number of working days corresponding to the number of days worked per year.
For example: based on 218 days, a consultant at 4/5 will have 176 working days.

  • Their actual number of hours per week

What is the impact?

With these different parameters, the ADC will be correctly calculated and if you use DocTemplate to generate an HR document from their profile, the variables will correctly populate the right information.

At the timesheet level

To properly visualize the days when your consultant is absent due to part-time work, ideally you should add this typology in your configuration. To do this, go to:

Administration > Legal Agencies > the relevant Agency > Activities & Expenses tab

Add a new absence typology in "Types of work unit for timesheets" making sure to select the Absence activity and you can uncheck "Alert if no absence request exists" because here it is not a request but days planned in advance with your resource.

Then, your consultant will only need to create the corresponding row in their timesheet in addition to their regular time entries.

Part-time absence will also allow daily benefits such as meal vouchers to be deducted.

If I know the absence days in advance, can the timesheet be pre-filled?

You can indeed have timesheets pre-filled by creating and validating an absence request including all the days of the year not worked by your resource. Thus, each month the row will already appear on the timesheet.
