GCalendar & GMail

Our GMail and GCalendar application, as well as the Google BoondManager app for Gmail, offer integration with your Google suite, enabling you to:

  • Create and synchronize an event in your GCalendar from a BoondManager action

  • Log an email in BoondManager from your Gmail inbox

To take advantage of these features, please follow the steps below:


Install GMail and GCalendar apps on BoondManager

Administration > Apps / Marketplace section

For this step, simply:

  • Search for and open the GMail and GCalendar apps one after the other

  • Click Install


Authorize a manager to use them

Directly from the app configuration


Link your Google account with your BoondManager account

Manager Interface > Apps > Gmail and Gcalendar

  • Synchronize your Google account

  • Accept the conditions/permissions requested by Google


Install the BoondManager app in your Gmail environment

From your Gmail interface, follow the steps below:

  • Go to your Gmail.com web interface

  • Click the "+" (Download add-ons) in the right sidebar (if you don\'t see this sidebar, click the arrow at the bottom right \"Show the sidebar panel\")

  • Search for the BoondManager for Gmail app

  • Then click Install and follow the guide:

  • You now have a BoondManager icon in the right sidebar, click it to display the panel:

  • Finally, click Synchronize and enter your BoondManager credentials to authorize synchronization:

Congratulations! You now have access to the following features:


Create an event in your calendar from a BoondManager action

Use case: you want to create a reminder for a client meeting, invite the client to the event, and synchronize this reminder with your GCalendar.

You therefore create a reminder action on your CRM card and follow the steps below:

  • Click Add to manager calendar

You will see fields appear, some pre-filled but you can of course modify them!

  1. Start/end date and time

  2. Event title

  3. Add guests by typing their name (if they are managers with a BoondManager account) or their email address

  4. Enter a description that will be included in the event and thus shared with guests

  5. Save your note/minutes

You can now refresh your GCalendar and you will see that the event has been successfully added/updated!

Important

Please note, all guests will see the details entered in the Description field of your BoondManager action, even after the event has passed.

Make sure to only enter information you wish to make visible, as any new comment saved in this action will also be copied into the calendar invitations of all guests!


Create an action from a GMail email

Use case: You receive an email on Gmail from a client and want to save it in their BoondManager card.

You open this email in Gmail, then follow the steps below:

  • Click the BoondManager icon in the right sidebar of the email

  • A panel then appears on the right, and the BoondManager CRM card is automatically recognized based on the email addresses of the sender and/or recipient.

    • Important: CRM card recognition will be limited to your BoondManager access rights for this card

  • Then choose the action type to create in the CRM

  • Finally, click Add:

  • You can now view the email in your client\'s history on BoondManager:
