Interface Owner

The Interface Owner has additional rights over Managers, Roles, the contract with BoondManager,... This is a property to grant with caution.

How to enable/disable an Interface Owner?

To set a manager account as the interface owner, you must:

  1. Go to Administration > Managers / Roles > tab Managers

  2. Click on the manager row to define as owner

  3. In the "Permissions and alerts" section, on the "Interface Owner" row:

    • to enable ownership: check the box

    • to disable ownership: uncheck the box

  4. Save the modification by clicking the green floppy disk.

Prerequisite

You must be the interface owner to assign ownership to another manager. This restriction is there to prevent accidental or malicious deletion. This means only interface owners can delete manager accounts.

Note

  • Only manager accounts can become interface owners.

  • There must always be 1 interface owner

What additional access does an Interface Owner have?

The additional advantages are as follows:

  • Administration: they are the only one who can change the BoondManager interface logo.

  • Administration > Managers/Roles:

    • they have unlimited rights regardless of the rights defined in their role,

    • their manager account cannot be deleted or disabled.

  • On the API: they are the only one who can call the /dump-database route.
