If you want to differentiate new services from renewed services or those occurring due to a replacement/reinforcement, configuring Service Types is necessary to help you analyze your activity more precisely.
⠀
Create Service Types
Administration > Global Settings section > Needs/Projects tab > Service Types box
You can choose a label to distinguish:
a new service for a new project
a service renewal
a new service for an existing project
This label will be chosen by default when you are in the described scenario.
⠀
Note
You can add other service types to be able to select them manually for special cases such as rate increases or replacements.
⠀
Let Scenarios Work
Once service types are created, BoondManager takes care of everything
A New Service for a New Project
Each time you create a new project, the service is detected as a new service for a new project and will be typed as desired.
⠀
Frequently Asked Question
For projects created before October 15, 2022 (release date of this new feature), you will need to go to each service to choose the corresponding service type.
A Service Renewal
In case of a service renewal, BoondManager will detect it automatically.
A New Service for an Existing Project
Similarly, if you create a new service on an existing project, BoondManager will detect it and type it as desired.
⠀
Manually Edit the Service Type
If you have created service types not linked to a scenario, for special cases you want to track (salary increase or consultant replacement), you will need to indicate it manually.
⠀
Track and Analyze Your Projects
Filter by Service Type
Projects > Services view
A filter is available, allowing you to filter by service type.
Tracking Indicators
New key indicators will allow you to track:
the number of ongoing services (by type) for the desired period
the number of started services (by type) for the desired period
