Create and configure a manager account

This tutorial aims to help you with the creation and configuration of your manager accounts.


Creating a Manager Account

A Manager in Boond terms:

  • is a "Resource++" who has rights in the tool

  • can access all modules you activate on your interface (Candidates, Resources, CRM, Opportunities, Projects, Billing...)

As a reminder, a standard Resource only accesses the intranet to:

  • fill in / validate their timesheets,

  • fill in / validate their expense reports,

  • fill in / validate their absence requests,

  • view their absence balances if you wish,

  • access a "non-financial" view of certain projects if they are declared as "Project Manager" (view budgeted days in general and by batch, edit "remains to be done"...)

It is important to properly define the rights of your Managers to ensure they can access the right data and will not have access to critical data.

Create the manager

Administration > Managers / Roles > + button

You have two options:

  • Manually create the manager account if it does not yet exist in the Resources module

  • Create from a resource if the person already exists in your database

Configuration of a manager account

  1. Title, Last Name, First Name

  2. Email 1 (ideally the manager's professional email)

  3. Login (most commonly: use Email 1)

  4. Resource type (standardized field)

  5. Manager's main manager (N+1)

  6. Assignment of the main agency (and secondary agencies if needed)

  7. Assignment of a main pole and secondary poles if necessary

  8. Assignment of the desired role, already configured (manually or available in the role library provided)

Activation of the manager account

Administration > Managers / Roles > Managers tab

You can activate your Manager by changing the state to enable the manager account.

It is very important to log in from the manager's point of view, once activated, to check that they will be able to access the right data and will not see anything too sensitive.

To do this, click the icon at the end of the manager's row:

Once the account is activated, remember to communicate access to your manager so they can log in and reset their password!
