If you’ve accidentally created duplicate candidates, this feature is for you.
It allows you to merge the data from one Candidate card into another with a single click.
⠀
What is merging?
This feature allows you to merge a Source Candidate card (card S) into a Destination Candidate card (card D) to consolidate data into a single card.
The merge operation from candidate S to candidate D will:
Keep the data from card D and add any missing data from card S
Reassign contracts, positionings, actions, and discussion threads from candidate S to candidate D
Merge attachments from candidate S into candidate D (note: if the combined total of CVs from cards S + D exceeds the current limit of 5 files, an error message will appear)
Delete candidate S without copying remaining information (data located in the "Information" tab...)
Good to know
The contract from card S will only be reassigned to card D if no existing contract is already on card D: if a contract already exists on card D, then the existing one will remain and will not be replaced.
Requirements to merge a card
Have delete permissions on candidate cards
Have write permissions on all cards associated with candidate S (contracts, TD, actions, positionings if any, etc...)
⠀
Initiate the merge of 2 candidates
Warning
The merge is irreversible
The data from the source card will be deleted
We strongly recommend that you read the "What is merging?" section before proceeding
Video guide to initiate a merge:
Step-by-step path to initiate a merge:
Open the source card
Click on the "..." button at the top right of the card and select "Merge"
Select the destination card > Alerts on consequences will be displayed
Verify required permissions for merging
If permissions OK ➡️ "permissions check ok" will appear ➡️ click confirm to start the merge
If permissions KO ➡️ "Permissions are insufficient, merge cannot be initiated" ➡️ user must cancel and either adjust permissions or contact their administrator
A blue pop-up indicates the start of the merge, then a green one will appear when it's completed
You can then open the merged card by clicking "Open merged record" in the green pop-up

FAQ
The button to initiate a merge doesn’t appear
Make sure you have delete permissions on the source record
Permission analysis returns an error, and I’m asked to contact an administrator
You must have read, write, and create permissions on all affected cards. For example, if you're merging a card containing a contract into another, you must have the right to create contracts. See the section "Requirements to merge a record" for more details.
