On Boond, during your sales cycle, you can choose to position a candidate, a resource, and/or a standard profile.

In this article, we show you how to configure and track these standard profiles during the pre-sales phase and until the signing of your project.

Module Access Rights Configuration

The Standard Profiles module is a standalone module, just like the Candidates module or the Resources module. Therefore, it may be necessary to configure access rights to this module for managers who will use it.

From Administration > Managers / Roles > open the concerned role: you can enable the Standard Profiles module in the Main Modules section.

Here, you can configure search rights (filter by legal agencies), profile rights (read/write access to their own profiles, all profiles, those of their agencies, or a list of agencies), and various rights (creation, deletion, reassignment).

Standard Profiles Configuration

Once access to the module is granted, you can access it and configure a standard profile by clicking the orange + button in the top right corner.

To fill out your standard profile, you can provide the following details:

  1. Name of the profile: required field

  2. Daily Sales Price and Daily Cost

  3. The calculation of margin and profitability is done automatically

  4. Selection of the legal agency and currency

  5. Option to add a comment

  6. Option to provide skills in the Technical Folder section: this will help facilitate your searches in the module's search view

Positioning a Standard Profile on an opportunity

When you have created your opportunity and are ready to position candidates, resources, and/or Standard profiles, you can create a new positioning. The positioning modal opens with the same options as usual:

  • Profile search

  • Profile suggestions

  • Basic search

Profile Search

When you want to search for a specific profile, you have access to the list of candidates, resources, and also standard profiles.

By clicking the orange "Position" button, you can position these candidates, resources, and/or standard profiles all at once.

Basic Search

If you don't have a specific standard profile in mind to position, and you want to do a direct search in the module, click on "Basic Search" and then on the "Standard Profile" module in the workflow that appears at the top of your screen.

You can then use your filters/keywords to display the profiles suited to your opportunity and select the profile(s) you wish to position.

By clicking the orange "Position" button, you can position candidates, resources, and/or standard profiles all at once.

Qualifying the positioning

Once your candidates, resources, and/or standard profiles are positioned, you simply need to qualify each positioning as you normally do for your opportunities, by specifying a start and end date, a daily rate, a number of days sold, and a daily cost (if this information hasn't already been provided).

Note

If you are using the Quotation app, the standard profiles will appear on your quotation with their positioning information:

Transforming an Opportunity into a Project

Good news: your client is satisfied with your proposal and signs it ! You are now ready to transform your opportunity into a project!

To do this, simply change the stage of your opportunity to "Won". You can choose to select a positioning (candidate, resource, or standard profile) that will then be transformed into a delivery in the project.

If you chose a standard profile during this stage change, you will find this profile as a delivery on your project. You then have the option to assign a resource and replace the profile with a resource, who will actually enter time on this project.

The resource then takes precedence over the standard profile, with an updated daily cost (the cost from the resource's contract, if he/she has one).

F.A.Q.

I don't see the Standard profiles module in my left menu, why?

If you don't see the Standard profiles module, it may be for one of two reasons:

  • The module has not been activated in your role: ask your administrator to check your role and configure the module rights if necessary.

  • The module is activated in your role, but you don't see it: click on your name in the top right > Configuration > you can modify your menu bar to show the Standard profiles module.

Can I add a standard profile directly to a project as a delivery?

You cannot add a standard profile as a delivery to a project without going through an opportunity.
